WSCCA Green Stormwater Analysis
Dubin Environmental led the evaluation of runoff storage options in the public right-of-way for the ongoing Washington State Convention Center Addition project in downtown Seattle. Dubin Environmental used the WWHM model to evaluate green stormwater/soil cell facilities on seven city blocks around the perimeter of the building construction. Working closely with the project landscape architect, Dubin demonstrated that the proposed soil cell locations and volumes would allow the project to meet the City of Seattle’s flow control requirement. The analysis also compared construction costs, potential utility conflicts, and permitting timelines for soil cells and traditional gray detention options. Following the successful modeling analysis, Dubin Environmental and partner, Green Earth Operations, were asked to manage the civil design for the reconstruction of Olive Way.
