Early Olive Way Civil and Utility Design
Dubin Environmental partnered with Green Earth Operations to redesign a two-block stretch of Olive Way in downtown Seattle. As part of the Washington State Convention Center Addition project, the Olive Way right-of-way to excavated to a depth of 9 feet to allows for loading dock connections below the city street. This project designed entirely new utilities throughout the corridor, including a 12-inch watermain, 6 new water services, 2 fire hydrants, 12-inch storm drainage, catch basins and service laterals, electrical duct banks, gas main coordination, along with a new roadway surface, sidewalks, and pedestrian ramps. The design work in this crowded corridor was closely coordinated with Seattle staff as part of obtaining a street improvement permit (SIP) for construction. Dubin Environmental assisted the contractor throughout construction.
